Arizona presents a unique environment in which to study how farmers and ranchers allocate scarce resources to sustain and grow their businesses. Our faculty focus their research on developing efficient management strategies for adapting to changes in water scarcity, farm regulation, climate change, and new seed technology, such as genetic modification. We aim to inform decision-making when farmers and ranchers face uncertain prices and yields, look to invest in new technology, and diversify their portfolio to better manage risk.
