Mexican Fresh Tomatoes Economic Impact Study from AREC's Economic Impact Analysis Team

Dari Duval (M.S. 2015), and her fellow AREC economic impact analysis team members Ashley Kerna Bickel (M.S. 2013) and professor George Frisvold, have a released a new study on the economic contribution of Mexican fresh tomatoes to the U.S. economy. Duval presented the team's findings at the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas 50th Nogales Produce Convention on November 1. Overall, imported Mexican tomatoes generated $4.8 billion in sales for the U.S. economy in 2016.
